Custom Instructor Development Training Program
Modern Real Estate Instructor Certification (MREI)
Craig will put together a custom agenda based on your faculty's training needs, based on the time allotment (can be anywhere from a half day to up to 2 full days), and which of the following 11 modules are chosen:
Module 1 - What the Education Director Wants
In this module, we will explore the challenges of the typical education director and how you can make their life easier (and make yourself more hireable) by creating your instructional niche, being willing to contribute to the success of your events, & more.
Module 2 - What’s Expected of You
In this module, we will explore what is expected of you, the Instructor, before, during, and after a class/event, including setting the proper learning environment, handling classroom challenges, & proper follow-up, to ensure it is a success and that the education director wants to bring you back again and again.
Module 3 - Market Your Classes/Events
A smart instructor provides their clients with marketing materials to help promote their classes/events, because no one knows how to promote their sessions better than you do. In this session, we will explore tools like Canva, Pixlr, WeVideo, & more to help you be your own marketer, no matter what your tech or design skills are.
Module 4 - Presenting to the Adult Learner & GAPE Principles
In this module, we will explore the challenges of teaching to a mixture of students who have different learning ages, styles, personality types, experiences, & skill levels, including how to incorporate the DISC profiles in the classroom.
Module 5 - The Modern Flipped Classroom
In this module, we will explore what the flipped classroom is, its array of interactive learning techniques, and how to incorporate them into the classroom to elevate your events.
Module 6 - The In’s & Out’s of Instructional Material
In this module, we will explore the difference between designations and certifications, what entities offer them, how to incorporate them into your business, how to get classes approved for continuing education credit, & more.
Module 7 - The Do’s & Don’ts of Technology in the Classroom
When used properly, technology can be a great asset that enhances or elevates your presentation. But, if misused or overused, it can be a negative by distracting some students while overwhelming others. In this module, we will explore when to use and not use technology in the instructional world.
Module 8 - What Makes a Memorable & Impactful Presentation
Today’s adult learner is often bored or complacent with the standard learning environment, whether it is in the classroom or online. In this session, we will explore modern learning techniques including the flipped classroom and hybrid learning experiences as well as many technology tools and solutions that can help you meet these changing needs by creating more impactful presentations, improve the classroom environment & student participation, your communication with your clients’ (and students) before, during, and after an event, and more.
Module 9 - Becoming a Great Virtual (& Hybrid) Presenter
The pandemic has changed everything in the education world and forced the majority of learning opportunities to be virtual or online. And many instructors struggle with this environment. In this session, we will show you how to leverage all the tools & settings in Zoom, how to properly deliver content virtually and how to have a professional virtual studio set up to take your virtual &/or hybrid classroom to the next level.
Module 10 - You’ve Got to Bring It, No Matter What - Hour of Inspiration
Regardless of what topic you are speaking on or what audience/event you are delivering it to, as an instructor, you are there to do one thing...give every attendee an amazing learning experience that is going to help them go home and improve their business and/or their life.
And sometimes you’ve got things going in your business, life, or at home that might contribute to you not bringing 100% that day. Or there could be some in that crowd who are having a down day, and they are bringing that negativity to the room and, in turn, chipping away at your positive vibe. All the attendees just don’t care; they expect You to Bring It, No Matter What!
In this motivational session, we will explore the dynamics of each person’s mood and how to keep the environment charged anytime you set foot in it!
Module 11 - Market Like a Pro Hands-On Workshop (optional) can be 1-4 hours
Our jobs as educators require us to generate a lot of interest/attendance for each course or event. The problem is that these days, there are so many options for education, our members (who cover multiple demographic groups with differing marketing styles & needs) are overwhelmed. Therefore, it makes our task of marketing one of the most important (and at the same time difficult) factors in determining if a class/event is going to succeed.
Many of us don't have the time, budget, or skill to do so. What if I told you it was easy to do as long as you know the right tools and set up the processes to make it happen? Just imagine being able to kick out custom professional-looking flyers, infographics, video commercials, e-mail newsletters & more for each class/event in just minutes. In this multi-phase session, we will cover the importance of marketing, current marketing trends, and then get into how to create marketing materials, the tools to do it & a hands-on workshop to build out a full marketing campaign for a specific class/event.
